The first 4 years of this Campbeltown whisky was in refill bourbon casks, then transferred for the final 5 years, in refill Gaja Barolo casks.
There is no mistaking the red wine tannins from the Gaja casks.
The finish is like raspberry ripple ice creap, but combined with peat and spices and a medium dry finish.
Distilled February 2004 and Bottled October 2013.
Distilled at Springbank Distillery, Campbeltown.
