The story of Bunnahabhain 40 Year Old begins in the north-eastern part of the isle of Islay, where this magnificent whisky lay quietly maturing for over four decades, until Master Distiller Ian MacMillan discovered the casks listed in the distillery ledgers.
This extraordinary journey of discovery is retraced through the label, which was specially created by renowned Scots illustrator Iain McIntosh.
From the water source at Margadale Spring to Bunnahabhain Distillery, from the ledgers to the turney casks, the illustration recounts the story of timeless passion and dedication which has gone into this truly exceptional whisky.
Bunnahabhain 40 Year Old is a one-off release of 750 individually-numbered and hand-signed bottles presented in bespoke packaging.
One word – Stunning.
