A very popular whisky outwith the UK, BenRiach is a lovely speyside whisky, from Longmorn, near Elgin.
Colour – Pale golden.
Nose – Subtle Sherry aromas, herbal with a delicate green bracken edge. Malt aromas with a subtle hint of almond.
Palate – Peppery, with a touch of cream toffees, some Brazil nut influences and hints of ripe red berries. Reminiscent of Ice Cream Soda.
Body – Light to Medium.
Finish – Fruity with hints of chocolate.
Cask type – Refill Sherry hogsheads.
Distilled at BenRiach Distillery, Matured and Bottled by Gordon & MacPhail.
