Well, as you can see – <<< that smirking monkey is me, a big Softie!

It’s pretty much me down to a T.  I like my wee smirk, I don’t like shaving, I like Star Wars, sci-fi, I’m bald (and don’t deny it).  But the best thing is that I’m sitting on my backside working hard, that’s pretty much what I do 24/7.

Sitting in front of my PC, a nice wee Athlon based computer, 2 monitors, laptop to my right, cup of tea in hand, 5 hard drives, 4 hard drives also not connected, 3 DVD drives, (no I’m not a copyright pirate type person).  I’m really Neo from The Matrix, although I’m not there in dark leather, hmm, does my leather seat count?  To my left is my clean area of my desk….. honestly, it’s clean, it really is………. well – at least once a year or so…!  Sitting there is 2 books, (PHP and MySQL), a 3 for £1 pack of Teeth and Lips from Tesco (empty bag of course), a Tunnocks teacake foil wrapper that has been pressed flat…. an electronic stapler, oh, there’s another book, blimey – look there – there’s a printer too – I “had” wondered where that had gone…. honestly ‘guv, it’s a clean desk, I know where every bit of cr@p is.

I’m a Scorpio by trade, so if you learn one thing today – don’t cross me.  It will be the end of you. I run a few websites, most notable one is UKwins, this is what I would describe as a big competition website, certainly one of the top 3 in the UK (3rd)! the web address is: www.UKwins.co.uk – please visit – The UKwins site lists nigh on a thousand competitions or prize draws that you can enter freely, I used to enter and enter and enter them left right and centre, however, not so much nowadays that I have a 2 year old to contend with as well… Back in the day there wasn’t a week gone past that I hadn’t won something, so trust me on this, PEOPLE DO WIN!

My next website is the famous Green Welly Stop’s website, I took over this in its – how should I put it – erm, “Janky” form, it looked appalling, you couldn’t do anything, and they didn’t have a clue!  Boy have things changed on that front.. I also managed to persuade my dad to go online as well, and he has a wee holiday cottage available to let in Kielder Village, very very very close to Kielder Reservoir with bike trails, activities and more on the doorstep! 10. hmm, not sure if there’s anything, but I lurve my better half, (that’s Cheryl) and of course I love my wee girl – the webmaster/mistress of the future Carmen Marié Dearden (and no that’s not a typo it’s é ).

Well, I think that’s me – if I’ve left anything out, then I’m sorry.  However, whilst this is in no way an afterthought, Always on my mind is my little brother Neil who was tragically taken from this world in a car accident. RIP big man. and on typing that I have tears in my eyes… See I told you… I’m a softie at heart.
