The 4th Release
Benromach Origins is a series of special bottlings crafted to highlight how small changes in the art of whisky making can help shape the character of the final single malt. This fourth release in the series has been fully matured in Port Pipes.
Distilled 2003 and bottled 2013
8ppm phenols
Tasting Notes:
Colour – Amber
Nose – Sweet vanilla with red cherry and toasted malt. A subtle ginger note develops with a touch almond and lemon.
Palate – Chilli flakes with melon and sweet cured ham. A slight oak edge with a lingering creme caramel flavour.
Body – Medium
Finish – Medium and Sweet
Cask type – 1st Fill Port Pipes.
