Old Pulteney whisky was originally dubbed the 'Manzilla of the North' due to the salty character that has been picked up during the maturation.
Tasting Notes from the Rare 1980 Old Pulteney Vintage.
Colour – Dark Straw.
Nose – Fresh, vanilla with sweet and honeyed notes.
Palate – Sweet, with mixed spices.
Body – Light
Finish – Short, subtle and ultimately 'to the point'
Cask type – Refill American Hogsheads
Distilled 1980, Old Pulteney.
