It’s so, so mellow and mature and yes, you can find all of the aromatics on the taste buds and more. I get chocolate and coconut, tangerine and papaya and a wonderful infusion of barley sugar with a pinch of cinnamon and aniseed. Completely mesmerising.

As the spirit breathes in the glass a subtle change takes place. Rising steadily comes the crisp, malted barley then the sweet oak, giving notes of vanilla, toasted rye bread and walnuts. add a burst of fresh lime, poached apple and pear from distillation

Land and Dram united – in a 20cl size bottle
American Oak matured in the coldest warehouse – number 14.
This release – Chalice Barley, harvested September and Distilled November 2006. Grown on the Jubilee Field at the place known as the ‘Headland of the Gallows’ on Dunlossit farm.
