The American Prairie Reserve is being assembled in Northeastern Montana, aiming to be the largest wildlife reserve in the lower 48 states. When stepping onto the plains here it is not difficult to imagine the landscape as Lewis and Clark and Native Americans saw it, with thundering herds of bison, racing bands of pronghorn antelopes. When the Reserve is complete, it will be approximately 5,000 square miles, or roughly the size of Connecticut.
The liquid in this bottle is a premium blend of Bourbons, one of America’s native spirits. It’s a great sipper and thinking whiskey.

Over the channel in the Netherlands (Holland) is Zuidam Distillery, a fantastic artisan distillery preserving Dutch heritage using Windmills in the production process.
After the careful distillation the whisky is aged in small barrels. They use new barrels of American white oak as well as barrels that have previously held Bourbon and Olorosso Sherry.
Because they use new or barrels that have been used only 1 time and they store the barrels in a warm and dry warehouse the whisky ages rather quickly.
The downside is that the evaporation losses are rather high. Typically the ‘Angels Share’ is between 4% and 5% per year.
We think this high evaporation in the process gives the whisky a certain charm and age beyond it’s years!
Tasting Notes:
Nose: Delicate tones of fruit and honey combined with vanilla and wood and a hint of coconuts.
Taste: Rich honey sweetness, delicate spicy notes and a long vanilla oak finish
